Either when creating a collective course, or a type for collective or individual, the system prompts you to enter the type of duration and below the actual duration of the course.

The duration of a course can be defined according to three possibilities provided by the system:

• Set manually or until the end of the academic year
  With this option, the class schedule is planned until the end of the academic year or until a specific date to be entered when creating the course. Thus, there is no set number of either hours or lessons, simply the course is scheduled on a regular basis following the weekly frequency set, between the two dates.
• Predetermined number of classes
  This option consists of a predetermined number of lectures with a certain predetermined duration (e.g., 30 lectures of 45 minutes each). Unlike the predetermined number of hours type, for this type the system has the focus on maintaining the predetermined number of meetings. This means that, for a course characterized with this type of duration, changing the duration of a single lesson, for whatever reason, has no effect on the number of lessons that are delivered, which will remain unchanged.
  If, on the other hand, as a result of changing the duration of one or more lessons, it is intended to vary the total number of lessons, the predetermined number of hours type will have to be chosen
• Predetermined number of hours
  The predetermined number of hours represents the most flexible solution, since regardless of how the lessons are then conducted, the system targets the maintenance of the overall course hours.
  Both in the definition of course models and in the definition of collective courses with a set duration of hours, the duration of a single lesson can be any value, depending on the agreement that is made with the client (45′, 60′, 80′, 90′, 120′, etc. etc.).
  So for example, a 30-hour course, with 45′ lessons, will see the automatic creation of 40 meetings, rather than 20 meetings if the single meeting duration is set to 90′.
  The main advantage of this type of duration is that as the course unfolds, if some lessons are lengthened or shortened for various needs, the course will vary the total number of lessons (meetings) from what was set at the initial stage, while still adhering to the total number of hours delivered.
  For example, if a regular course of 30 hours is created, with 60′ lessons, and the duration of two lessons is varied from 60 to 30 minutes, the total lessons will be 32 instead of 30 as in the beginning, but the total hours delivered will still be 30 (the predetermined number of lessons duration does not allow this adjustment of meetings, however)
