Email and DNS Configuration Guide (Free Plan)

This guide outlines the procedure for configuring your email service and its related DNS records using our Free Plan, which is powered by Amazon Simple Email Services (SES).

This operation can only be performed on corporate domain email addresses (not private/personal ones) and is required to prevent emails sent from ScuolaSemplice from ending up in spam folders or being rejected by recipients.

Go to the Communications → Email Configuration section and select the BluCloud – Free Plan service from the drop-down menu, then enter the Sender and Email Address you wish to use.

Click the blue Verify Configuration button.

The system will notify you that the configuration has started by sending a verification code to the entered email address to ensure that the person performing the setup actually owns the email account.

Once this verification is complete, the email must be activated on Amazon SES: a new message containing an activation link will be sent to you.

Locate this email in your inbox and click the activation link (valid for 24 hours). Once done, close the verification tab and return to ScuolaSemplice.

Now click Verify Configuration once again.

A pop-up window will inform you that the email address is verified, but you must now complete the DNS configuration using the provided records.

The system will notify that you have 30 days to apply these changes before the verified email is removed and the process is fully canceled. However, Amazon grants only 3 days for this operation, so it is highly recommended to complete the entire procedure in one single session. If the 3-day window expires, the system will allow you to restart the process when you click to verify the configuration.

The system will also provide additional helpful information, including links to specific guides for various email service providers.

Click Save Settings at the bottom to ensure your progress so far is saved.

The aforementioned DNS changes require some technical time to propagate across the internet, which can vary from a few minutes to several hours.

There is no way to speed up this aspect of the configuration.

Wait for propagation to complete, then click Verify Configuration again to run the check, if everything is correct and the changes have propagated, the system will indicate that the verification was successful, and all fields will be highlighted in green.

The final step is to send a test email to verify that the system is fully operational.

Enter an email address where you will receive an OTP (One-Time Password) code.

Retrieve the code from the email, enter it into ScuolaSemplice, and finalize the setup.

The email service is now fully functional.
